meeting in Turku in Finland, August 30 - September 1 , 2002
This is to remind you of the SSAC-meeting in Turku, Finland in August!

You find all the meeting information you need on the web-page: http://www.tkk.utu.fi/
cescon/ssac2002/. Please encourage colleges to attend the meeting. It is important that
Scandinavians interested in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology and antimicrobial
chemotherapy have a common forum and the yearly SSAC scientifi meeting is that forum!

The deadline for abstracts for the meeting has been extended to the 15 of June, 2002.
Please encourage your colleges to submit abstracts and to apply for travel grants (see SSAC
homepage: http://www.srga.org/ssac/index.html ). The SSAC board has decided that posters
that were used at the ECCMID meeting in Milan in April or the ECC meeting in Paris in
May, can be submitted for the poster session in Turku without changes, provided they have
not been published in a Journal before that.

Young scientists are especially encouraged to participate! There will be special sessions, a
minicourse and special activities for young scientists which together with travel grants and
reduced fees makes it interesting and possible to attend.
